Carnaval del Beni. El carnaval en la ciudad de Trinidad es celebrado con la alegría propia de los pueblos moxeños. El domingo se realiza la entrada de las comparsas, donde puede verse disfrazados con motivos nativos y criollos, siempre evocativos de la naturaleza del llano. El mismo día los trinitarios acostumbran jugar con agua, harina coloreada con tintas, serpentinas, papel picado y talco perfumado.
Carnaval Rural. En el área rural del Beni, el Carnaval se celebra en el rancho, a donde llegan las gentes en carretón adornado también con flores, a caballo, o en bueyes también enflorados. Luego, pasados los bailes y libaciones, la caravana visita otros ranchos. En cada sitio la comitiva se engrosa con el paso de los días: el carnaval llega a todas partes. Acompañan esta peregrinación, numerosas bombillas y orquestas.

GENERAL INFORMATION DEPARTMENT OF BENI
CREATION. The department was created by Supreme Decree on November 18, 1842, during the government of José Ballivián.
FOUNDATION. Founded on the banks of the river Mamore by Jesuit Father Cyprian Barace in 1686 under the name of Holy Trinity. Due to frequent floods and epidemics that struck such a reduction, 1769 Father Pedro de La Rocha moved the city to where now stands.
DATE CIVICA. Nov. 10
SURFACE. 213 564 km2
POPULATION. It has a population of 425,780 inhabitants (census 2012)
GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION. Located northeast of Bolivia. To the north with the Department of Pando, south with the Departments of Cochabamba and Santa Cruz, the east with the Republic of Brazil and west by the Department of La Paz
WEATHER. It is characterized by a warm and humid climate with temperatures between 28 and 35 degrees most of the year. During the austral winter (June to September) temperatures rarely drop below 12 degrees, remaining in that state for a few days before returning to its normal temperature.
ATTRACTIONS
LOMA SUAREZ. Located 12 Km. From Trinidad, to the northeast. It is located beside the river Ibar, clear and warm waters, which contributes to a special atmosphere. You can see beautiful landscapes and birds and animals of different species.
PUERTO BALLIVIÁN. It is located at 9 km. from the city of Trinidad, Loma Suárez way. It is a natural spa, where visitors will observe interesting jungle and animals of all kinds landscapes. Also located on the banks of the river Ibar, where you can canoe and fish.
LAGUNA SUAREZ. It is 5 km. From Trinidad to the south. It is an artificial lake, which was built by the ancient civilization called Paititiana Socoreno (Lagoon of Animals). You now have the name of Laguna Suárez because it was acquired by the signing Suarez Brothers. It has beautiful natural view, giving it a huge tourist attraction.
CACHUELA HOPE. This beautiful site, located in the province Vaca Diez, has the peculiar characteristics of all peoples of the North, for its pleasant climate, rich in flora, fauna and livestock production and important rubber, chestnut and wood.
MUSEUM ETHNOARCHAEOLOGICAL KENETH LEE. Located at Av. Livestock, route to the campus of the Autonomous University of Beni. The museum is the gateway to the stunning Hydraulic developed world between 800 BC and 1600 A.D. in the department of Beni, in the Bolivian Amazon. Samples utilitarian ceramics and photographs of great historical value are displayed.
MUSEUM ICTÍCOLA. Located on the University Campus UAB. Displays a wide variety of more than 400 species of fish from the Iténez, Mother of God, Mamore, Beni and other rivers of the Amazon basin, is the first of its kind in Bolivia and third in South America.
TRANSPORTATION
Access doors by air and land, with direct flights from various cities of the country to Trinidad, from where there are connections with all other regions
CULTURE.
Fiesta de San Ignacio de Moxos. This town holds its annual festival (August 2) in which people dress "bulls" to exit through the main streets in devotion to San Ignacio. Highlights the machete and groups of musicians involved with fantastic musical instruments made by them at the party.
It is a party full of joy and color that visitors can not miss. In the nearby pond can play sports such as swimming, water skiing, fishing and walking in rowing boats and motor. Feast of the Holy Trinity. It is celebrated in the capital of the department with a profusion of folk groups.
Departmental ephemeris. Culture and Tourism Fair, folk crafts samples and private sector.
Carnival of Beni. The carnival in Trinidad town is celebrated with joy of the moxeños own peoples. On Sunday the entrance of the groups, which may be disguised in native motifs and Creoles, always evocative of nature is made plain. The same day the Trinitarians usually play with water, flour colored inks, streamers, confetti and perfumed talc.
Rural Carnival. In rural areas of Beni, Carnival is celebrated at the ranch, where people come in truck also decorated with flowers, horses, or oxen also enflorados. Then after the dances and libations, the caravan visit other farms. At each site the entourage thickens with the passage of time: the carnival reaches everywhere. Accompanying this pilgrimage, many bulbs and orchestras.
